Hello, I am Luke Halsch. I am the new marketing and admissions director here at Granger Nursing and Rehab. I am excited to be here and be part of a wonderful team. Everyone has been friendly and welcoming, so thank you all so very much.
My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. Partially because of the feasting that would happen, but more so because of what Thanksgiving represents to me. The hard work of the harvest to bring food to the table, along with the energy to create Thanksgiving relies heavily on family and friends. Not whimsy and magic like some other holidays.
In no way am I musically talented, as my mother told me when I was younger. “In the bible it says to make a joyful noise, never does it say it must be pretty.” I try and remember that when teaching myself the piano.
In addition to working at Granger Nursing and rehab. I have a second job. I am an assistant coach for the Dowling Catholic High School boys swim team. So every morning I get to be ready for 5:45 am practice. This is my fourth year coaching the team, and it has been so much fun. There are many things I enjoy about coaching from the hard work and determination demonstrated by the kids to form bonds with some truly fantastic young men.
